Love this Star Notebook & Pencil Case!! I like most anything black on black, and the embossed stars are perfect. Leather is so soft on both pieces. Very pleased with this set.

This review is for the notebook and pencil case with black star print, not the metallic stars. I have the Rexy notebook from the retail store and I bought this star print one also because I loved the fact that the stars were not colored in so it makes for a very sleek notebook. I noticed the leather on the star notebook is incredible soft and supple(smooth calf leather) and the retail rexy notebook is very smooth and a little bit firmer(glovetanned leather). The notebooks themselves are different too, the retail version notebook has sharp corners and the cover and pages are thinner but the star notebook page corners are rounded off and the notebook cover and pages are much thicker and have a sturdier feel. The closure on the outlet version is also a snap button versus a turnlock on the retail version so that helps with the notebook not getting caught inside your bag. Overall, both versions are great but if I had to pick again, I would absolutely buy the outlet version.

I purchased this for myself a couple of weeks ago and have been getting compliments on it. Honestly the color choice is pretty good, and the pencil case is an added touch. Best part is that you don't have to use the notebook that comes with it, you can replace it with any notebook of similar dimensions and it fits perfectly. I use a hard cover notebook purchased from target and was able to insert it into the cover perfectly. Overall it's a good value and I am pleased with the quality of my purchase
