Geometric Square Sunglasses

I bought these sunglasses, reluctantly, to replace my old Coach “bug eye” sunglasses that I bought on a whim nearly 13 years ago when an arm snapped off recently. It was when the big round lenses were briefly in style, but the great quality had me wearing them for over a decade. Those sunglasses have traveled through the US, played in collegiate softball games, coached and umpired many games, canoeing/kayaking, lost & recovered in the ocean, helped me through massive migraines etc. But…..I’m a Mom now. Instead of buying the newest Coach purse and matching scarf/keychains, I’m paying for baseball club fees, football camps and new soccer cleats. The idea of dishing out another $200 for sunglasses was painful. Coach Outlet has some great options though for half the price of Coach! Buying online was a bit scary, but I knew the general shape/frame color/lens color I wanted. These will look good for casual day wear or even more formal nights because of the sleek black look. The nose piece is all one piece with no metal parts that can pinch, so they’ll be good for athletic wear and periods of long wear. Good: The frames are an upgrade from my last sunglasses! I can tell they have more weight to them and the lenses feel closer to glass, but are still plastic. They came in a beautiful faux leather hardshell case with luxotixa papers and a cleaning cloth. Bad: The picture of a model wearing the glasses is usually helpful, but in this case, she’s not even looking at the camera, so I couldn’t quite gauge how large the frames were. It looks artistic, but isn’t helpful. Also, whoever packaged these sunnies just tossed the hard case in the packaging ziplock and into a box without any bubble wrap or cushioning. I could hear them rattling in the box as the UPS guy walked up to my porch. As such, the hard case hinge feels a loose when opening/closing and won’t last long. Still an awesome value for the money and I love the way they look on me! I can’t wait to see how long these guys last!
